I went to 353 Spa on Provencher Blvd to find out if they would honour a gift certificate my spouse purchased for me. Granted, it was a few years ago that he purchased it, so I was not expecting the owner to honour it. She did not, but I understood why. It was her right. My problem was the way she talked to me. She yelled at me, "no it's too long," and didn't even acknowledge me after that. She was rude, dismissive and just plain mean. I left there feeling abused. I was respectful and polite to her, and I expected the same treatment in return. I did need some massage therapy, and if she had honoured the gift certificate, I would have liked to be a regular or recurring customer. I would never go to this spa after my experience. What made the whole situation worse for me is that my spouse died recently, so now I feel bad about not being able to use the gift he gave me. Being kind to people in any situation is the right thing to do.
